Merry Middlefield - A Grinch Steals Christmas

Rumor has it that on Dec. 14, 2019 the Grinch and Max will come into town and attempt to ruin our Merry Middlefield Christmas. An anonymous source tells us we can catch the thief in action between 8:00 a.m. and 4 p.m. Unverified reports claim Grinch and Max will appear at various businesses and steal the gifts that have been donated by you, our community.
The gifts you give are going to be donated to Santa for use at the Hide-A-Way Hollow, and Toys For Tots, through Best Funeral Home.
Pancakes and random visits from the Grinch and Max from 8 am to 1 pm in the Cardinal High School Multi Purpose Room. East Geauga Kiwanis Club is putting on this Pancake Breakfast. Cost and more details to be announced.
Craft and Vendor show inside the Cardinal High School hallways around the Multi-Purpose Room from 8-2, enter through the main entrance of the High School for all events.
And on the same date, Dec. 14, children can meet Grinch in all his nastiness at Cardinal High School Multi Purpose Room, from noon until 1:30 p.m. where he will sign his story “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” books for the young visitors, courtesy of the Friends of the Library. books will be given, one per family, while supplies last, but everyone there will get to meet and talk to the Grinch, Max and Cindy Lou Who. The Geauga County Public Library Fun Bus will be in the High School parking lot from 9:30 to 12:30 with lots of books to check out!
Our Grinch will then re-appear at 6 p.m. inside Great Lakes Outdoor Supply, 14855 N. State Street in Middlefield to deliver his award-winning dramatic performance, which will include our local Cindy Lou Who. Everyone is invited to meet Grinch, see his performance, and receive a free photo with Santa, Grinch, Max and Cindy Lou. Have a cookie and drink provided by members of Abundant life Church of God, Middlefield.
THEN..... FIREWORKS brought to you by the Village of Middlefield!! at about 7:00 pm. watch them from right her at Great Lakes Outdoor Supply parking lot.
Many Businesses in Middlefield and the area will have something special going on, Raffle, Basket Drawings,Open House, Special Sales, Open House at Studio for Hair, etc. stop in at area businesses any day, and through the day of December 14, maybe you will meet up with the Grinch! The Middlefield Chamber has a drawing for a sweet Grinch ornament, enter for this drawing in the high school at the craft show, winner will be drawn on December 15.

Barbie dolls -- Christmas Barbies or Holiday Barbies with no dates.
Remote control cars.
Game boards.
Things that make noise.
Music boxes and musical instruments -- things kids can turn on by themselves.
Gift cards are gold to Santa. They can go to the families or Santa can run out and use them to buy a forgotten item or special request.
Teddy bears 16 inches or bigger. All stuffed animals that are plush, cuddly and of a decent size.
If giving sporting goods, bear in mind that these kids often can’t play with them, but Santa can get real footballs, soccer balls and baseballs signed so they become collectibles.
