A new traveling theater group dedicated to all kinds of theater, for all ages.
Angela Miloro-Hansen/ owner of Curtain 440, has been directing youth programs since 2005 and main-stage teen and adult productions since 2011. Her work with students has been recognized by the Ohio Community Theater Association as “outstanding.” Some of her favorite directing credits include School of Rock, Peter and the Starcatcher, In The Heights, Beauty and the Beast, and The Neverending Story. With the Repertory 440 Company, comprised of students, she travels to different schools as the group performs throughout the school year.
Angela is the author of The Star on My Heart, a play about Holocaust survivor Inge Auerbacher, which premiered in 2015. The Star on My Heart has since been performed throughout Northeast Ohio and several other states including New York, Indiana, and Iowa. This play was the object of a successful Kickstarter which enabled us to travel to off-Broadway with an adult and student cast and various theaters and schools, impacting many people. The educational benefit was enormous, and Inge herself was involved in many aspects. Another run of this play is planned for later in 2019 by Curtain 440.
