St. Abraham Properties features the Jaques House, a newly renovated vacation home in Burton, OH. Located in the historic district of Burton, Ohio & the heart of Geauga’s Amish country, the Jaques House is perfect for a family reunion or a couples get away weekend. 35 miles east of Cleveland with easy access to major highways there is RV parking and so much more!
The Jaques house was once a carriage house / barn in the mid-1800’s for the home next door. It was turned into a house in 1870 by Edward Porter Jaques and his wife Sarah. He was a local Cooper from Connecticut who came to Burton with his brothers to start their business Building barrels and buckets for agriculture and the Maple industry. Riddled with termites, and nearly falling down, Jim & Jill renovated it in 2015. You can still see one of the exposed Hand-hewn beams in the kitchen and dining room area.
There is a key box on the door and a security system with a guest code.

Only if the guest requests help or guidance with tourist attractions, shopping, or transportation. We are available by phone 24-hours a day and live and work local so we are at our guests disposal or quietly never seen as they wish.
Jim grew up just around the corner! His Dad was the towns IGA grocer and Jill’s was the local Veterinarian. A beautiful place to stay in a picturesque historic village with the Geauga county historical century village and the oldest continuous county fair in Ohio in walking distance. Burton is nick named pancake town USA for its maple syrup producing log cabin in the center of the village green. You will be staying hubby Just a few miles from the worlds 4th largest Amish community, Middlefield, Ohio. Antique stores abound in this area and are beautifully decorating the local tea room. Restaurants are a short walk a block away including the best coffee house in the area.

Other Things to Note
The house has smart TV and is equipped with a stand by generator. City water and sewer make this an uninterrupted trip in case of inclement weather. Jill is a past President of the Geauga Tourism so she is happy to map out a local winery, a great fishing spot, or winter sporting fun.Visit Our Website
