Tree Tapper’s Ball
Celebrate the maple season with our ever popular, old-fashioned square dance. Novices needn’t feel like saps: all dances taught in fun fashion by caller Bob Smakula. A rip-snortn’, roof-raisin’ old-time string band will have feet flyin’! Casual dress. Registration begins February 25 limited to 8 per registration. Parkman Community House 440-286-9516

Maple Stirs
Experience the classic Maple Stir at the Geauga County Maple Festival Sugarhouse on Chardon Square, The cost is just $1.50 per stir. You get a small bowl with hot maple syrup in it and a stirring stick. Stir and watch as the syrup become a creamy maple candy. The Stir Booth will also be open during the Geauga County Maple Festival, the last full weekend in April. Geauga County Maple Festival 440-286-3007

The Geauga County Maple Festival, the oldest maple festival in the United States, celebrates the production of pure maple syrup in Geauga County and Northeast Ohio. Join us for four days of fun, food and ‘everything maple’. Events include Arts & Crafts, Bathtub Races, Concessions, Continuous Grandstand Entertainment, Golden Old Timers Luncheon, Historical Display, Invitational Lumberjack Competition, Pancakes in the Park, two Grand Parades. 440-286-3007 On Historic Chardon Square.
